Approach and Key Findings
Given the ambitious project timeline, a scaled agile framework was used to design and build the trading platform over a seven-month period with an approach to have a product launch version and then add product features in four version updates over a subsequent ten-month period. The initial sprint focused on identifying the “must-have” features for the product launch while placing the “nice-to-have” features into the book of work for future updates. The project team was a mix of two vendor teams and internal client resources.
The trading platform went live on-time and on-budget, and helped the client capture a new stream of revenue.
